My Friend by Christina Hall

You've been my friend,
Through good and bad
My constant, my touchstone,
Whether happy or sad.

Upon your shoulder,
I cried many tears.
And you've seen me through,
All my lonely years.

It was on you,
That I could always call.
And you'd drop everything,
So you could catch me when I'd fall.

Now these thoughts won't end,
As my head starts to spin.
Because I think of you now,
As more than a friend.

I know that you love her,
I'd never break something true.
But let me ask you this,
Does she love you like I do?

Does she know your darkest secrets?
Kept deep within your soul?
Does she know all the little things?
Please, this I have to know.

Through good times and bad,
You've been my friend.
But this secret I'll have to keep,
Until the bitter end.
