Poem by: Kyle Holcombe
Poem: jennifer
so you're turning again
and the air is getting colder
we wonder if the snow comes next
falling like ash from vesuvius
or chalk from your heart's blackboard

everything sits in its place
neatly ordered in a blurry distance
no feeling anymore, just dullness
dusty dullness of nothing that was something
maybe long ago when someone was there

memories rust, dreams fall away
but your room: the same, always
noble, important, charismatic, maybe
a mirror of what you might have been
but i can't remember
